Theresa Payton

CEO, Fortalice Solutions

Theresa Payton, the first female White House Chief Information Officer, is a visionary, industry disruptor and an intrepid veteran cyber-crime fighter at the helm as CEO of Fortalice Solutions which is listed on Cybercrime Magazine’s Global 500 Best Cybersecurity Companies. She advises Fortune 500 boards, CEOs, and  technology executives on securing digital transformations and combating emerging cyber threats. Payton is on the Board of  Directors of Paychex and an Advisory Board member of, Cyberark and Trusona. She has held executive roles in banking technology for top financial institutions and is recognised as a cybersecurity leader, with awards such as the FBI Director’s Award, Cyber Security Experts’ 100 Most Influential People in Cyber Security and Cybersecurity Crusader of the Year.

Yvan De Mesmaeker

Secretary General, European Corporate Security Association (ECSA)

Yvan De Mesmaeker graduated as a Civil Engineer (academic degree between a MSc and aPhD) from the Free University of Brussels in 1986 and studied Finance and International Marketing at a post-academic level (studies in Dutch, French and English). He started his career in 1987 as Industrial Marketing Manager for the Philips Group, where he was involved in projects for major organisations, including NATO, major banks, the telecom and energy sector, food processing and logistics industry, before becoming a Marketing & Sales Manager for the EU and the US in the Asahi Glass Group. In 1997 he founded Omega Risk, an independent Audit & Consultancy practice, advising major international corporations and organisations on security, resilience and anticipation and assisting them with strategic networking.

In 2005 he was admitted to the geopolitical High Studies Security & Defense, organised by the Royal High Institute for Defense (RHID) and the Royal Institute for International Relations (Egmont). Subsequently, he was appointed Secretary general of the European Corporate Security Association – ECSA. As from 2009 he also assumes the pro bono function of Secretary general of ATHENA. He teaches at the BE College for Senior Police Officers and is the Director of the High Studies Police, Justice & Corporate Security. 

In 2012, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of the Security Office of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC). In 2021, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Royal Higher Institute for Defence – RHID. In 2022, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Royal Institute for International Relations –EGMONT. 

Bonnie Michelman, CPP, CHPA, MBA, MS

Vice President/Chief Security Officer, Mass General Brigham

Bonnie Michelman’s extensive leadership and security management experience crosses diverse industries and national boundaries. She is Vice President/Chief Security Officer of Mass General Brigham, parent organisation for 13 hospitals (including founding member Massachusetts General Hospital) and hundreds of healthcare satellite sites. Under Bonnie’s direction, MGH won the Lindberg Bell Award for the nation’s finest healthcare security program in 1999, 2007 and 2018. Her broader accomplishments include nomination by Janet Napolitano to the Homeland Security Advisory Council where she served for six years.

Bonnie’s professional contributions to the industry also include 25 years as Instructor at Northeastern University’s College of Criminal Justice in the graduate and undergraduate programs as well as consulting and lecturing in healthcare security, workplace violence, hate crimes, domestic violence and risk assessment and management. She is published in professional journals on safety, security, leadership and management, is an Executive Coach and performs Management Engineering, Strategic Planning and ESRM assessments.

Bonnie’s leadership recognition includes: Global Security Influencer of the Year 2022; Woman of Valor, ASIS International; Security Innovator of the Year, Security Industry Association; and 2-time winner of Presidential Award of the Year, IAHSS. She has an MBA, an MS in Criminal Justice, and a BA in Government and Sociology. She holds CPP and CHPA certifications.

Brian Roylett

Principal, RRM Advisory (RRM) 

Brian Roylett is Principal of RRM Advisory (RRM), an independent corporate governance, risk and resilience advisory firm specialising in programs for managing strategic and operational risk and crises for major private corporations and governments throughout Australasia and South-East Asia. Brian holds professional qualifications in management and engineering disciplines, specialising in design and evaluation of corporate strategy, governance and risk management plans for high technology and defense industries, with an extensive background in resource sector projects throughout the Asia Pacific Region.

Brian has been instrumental in the establishment of new corporate risk management and joint venture businesses in the US, Argentina, Hong Kong and China. He has held Chief Executive roles in the Malaysian general insurance industry and for captive insurance companies in Singapore and the Offshore Financial Centre in Labuan, East Malaysia. His international risk management experience includes assignments for governments and private sector corporations in Australia, New Zealand, US, Argentina, UK, Czech Republic, China, Taiwan ROC, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Brian has extensive experience in risk related standards development with the Australian National Standards Body (NSB), Standards Australia and with ISO as an active participant in ISO TC 292 Security and resilience and its predecessor organization ISO 223 Societal security. At the national level Brian was a foundation member of Standards Australia OB/7 Committee responsible for the development of AS/NZS 4360: Risk Management, a standard which provided the impetus for the internationally acclaimed ISO 31000 Risk management- Guidelines, in addition to representing industry on engineering related national manufacturing standards.

Michele L. Turner, MBCP, FBCI, CISA, CRISC, CCRP

Author & Vice President – Business Continuity, Marriott International 

Michele L. Turner, MBCP, FBCI, CISA, CRISC, CCRP, is an Amazon #1- Best Selling Author and resiliency leader with close to 30 years’ experience in the areas of Governance, Risk, and Compliance. She is the 2022 Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) Lifetime Achievement award winner, and Vice President- Business Continuity for Marriott International. 

Prior roles include Head of Global Business Resiliency for Amazon Corporate, as well as Governance, Risk, Compliance and Business Continuity roles within Microsoft. Michele has a Master of Science degree in Business Continuity from Norwich University and is an international speaker on the topic of business continuity, risk management, governance and related areas. 

She is a requested guest lecturer at the University of Washington, on such topics as Cyber Security and Operational Risk, and a Course Instructor and Board Director for Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII).


Founder and Director, Risk and Resilience Consulting Services Ltd.

Kev is the current chair of ISO TC 309 and has been in post for almost two years. He has been involved in the development of standards at national, European and ISO levels for 20 years and he recently led the project to develop and publish EN ISO 22361:2022 Crisis Management – Guidelines. He led the project team that developed the first version of EN ISO 22300 Terminology, and he has contributed to the development of numerous standards in the fields of resilience, risk management, business continuity, crisis management, cybersecurity, governance and oversight.

Kev is currently the Founder and Director at Risk and Resilience Consulting Services Ltd. and he has held senior leadership positions in professional services, banking and financial sector firms. Prior to these positions, he served as a Police Officer in the City of London Police. He was recently awarded the status of Chartered Cybersecurity Professional by the UK Cyber Security Council and he is a frequent industry speaker and contributor to publications.

He holds an MSc in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management from the University of Leicester.

Alexandra Hoffmann

CEO, Crisis Ally

Alexandra Hoffmann is the CEO of Crisis Ally, which helps Crisis Leaders and their teams build the right capabilities to thrive through crises. Crisis Ally serves clients internationally. Thanks to a career with the French government and large international corporations, Alexandra has a rich operational and multicultural experience with strong expertise in business resilience, its boosting factors and best practices to manage it.

Alexandra is regularly interviewed in the print media to discuss corporate resilience topics, including Authority Magazine, Business Insider, and Thrive Global. Over the course of her career, Alexandra has served in a couple of NGOs as a volunteer, such as the American Red Cross and the French Red Cross. 

Alexandra has an LLB in Criminal Law from Paris University, France, an M.Sc. in Corporate Security from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Alexandra is also a Certified Coach, trained in Neurosciences and a Certified Yoga Teacher.

Commercial Manager & Security Consultant, Manguard Plus

Garry is a regarded professional in the field of security and risk management with a wealth of experience spanning several decades and various industries. He has been appointed as a Peace Commissioner by Ireland’s Minister for Justice. Garry holds an MSc in Security Management from Maynooth University and is currently pursuing a Professional Doctorate at the University of Portsmouth. At present, Garry serves as the Commercial Manager and Security Consultant at Manguard Plus where he has successfully overseen security contracts for organisations showcasing his expertise on an international level.

Garry has received accolades throughout his career, including the 2023 Irish OSPA “Lifetime Achievement Award” and the 2022 “Outstanding Security Consultant Award” and recognition as a CSyP. He holds positions in governance serving as the Chairman of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM) – Ireland Chapter and as a Council Member at GLG, a leading platform for expert consultation worldwide.

Being honoured as a Fellow by three security institutes speaks to Garry’s contributions to the field. He has been recognised as an Influencer by ISJ. Through his involvement in roles on boards and receiving international awards and honours, Garry solidifies his position as a leading authority within the security sector.

Gopal Prasad Choudhary

Senior VP, Group Chief Security Officer & Member of the Group Executive Committee, Vedanta Group 

Gopal is a distinguished professional in the fields of security risk management and business continuity. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Group Chief Security Officer as well as Member of the Group Executive Committee at Vedanta Group, he brings a wealth of experience from both the corporate world and his extensive service in various government roles. His current research interest mainly focused on streamlining the professionalism in the private security industry. 

He is associated with the Governing Body of Rashtriya Raksha University, a Central University of National Importance, under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India focused on security and strategic education. His vast knowledge and diverse experience make him a valuable asset in the realm of security, risk management and strategic studies. 

He is President, International Institute of Security & Safety Management, New Delhi (a not-for-profit institution) where he works towards promoting best practices in security and safety management. 

Lynn Mattice

Managing Director, Mattice & Associates LLC and President & Founder, NESA

Lynn is President & Founder of the National Economic Security Alliance (NESA), a nonpartisan IRS designated 501(c)(3) non-profit. The mission of the NESA is to educate policymakers, business leaders and the general public on issues affecting the economic security of America. 

He is also Managing Director of Mattice & Associates LLC, a management consulting firm focused on the fields of enterprise risk management, business risk intelligence programs, resiliency, information asset protection (including intellectual property, trade secrets, brand & reputation protection and anti-counterfeiting), cybersecurity, compliance, corporate security, management systems and program evaluations. Lynn established the Executive Summit Series as a forum where leaders share their vision of the future and tackle the front of mind issues they face today. He is a Leadership Council Member for the National Small Business Association; a Fellow at the Institute for Strategic Risk Management; Distinguished Fellow at the Ponemon Institute and an Emeritus Senior Fellow at Auburn University’s Center for Cyber and Homeland Security.

Lynn has been a Member of the Board of Directors for the National Intellectual Property Law Institute since 1993, where he remained as Chairman Emeritus. One of the highlights of his tenure was participating in the drafting of the National Economic Espionage Act and National Trade Secrets Act which unanimously passed by both the House and Senate in 1996. Mattice and Associates LLC is a certified small business by the Commonwealth of Virginia. He was also appointed as one of the key industry representatives on the National Industrial Security Program Presidential Task Force, which was established through a Presidential Decision Directive by President George H.W. Bush, and has completed three terms on the Board of Directors for the International Security Management Association, where he remains a life member. 

Jane Frankland

Founder, The Source Platform (for Women in Cyber)

Jane Frankland is an accomplished and pioneering cybersecurity leader, author and advocate for women’s empowerment. Her authority is referenced by Wikipedia, LinkedIn (as a Top Voice) and UNESCO.

With a wealth of experience in the field and a track record of success, she is highly respected among industry stakeholders and has been featured in prominent media outlets such as Sunday Times, The Financial Times, The Guardian, Forbes and the BBC. Successfully building her own global penetration testing firm in the 90s, and then later serving as a Managing Director at Accenture, Jane has lent her expertise to numerous security initiatives including CREST, Cyber Essentials and Women4Cyber, along the way.

As a passionate advocate for gender diversity, Jane authored the bestselling book ‘IN Security’ and led the IN Security Movement, which is focused on attracting and retaining women in cybersecurity. Her dedication to this cause extends far beyond words, as she has provided over 419 women with scholarships, a value approaching USD 1,000,000.

Known for her ability to move people to act, identify trends, foster team collaboration and swiftly address complex challenges, Jane continues to make a positive impact through her company KnewStart, and work as a speaker, trainer, influencer and board advisor.

Ray Bernard

President & Principal Consultant, Ray Bernard Consulting Services and Founder & CEO, GSO Events, Inc.

Ray Bernard is a Security Consultant and Author who has provided pivotal direction and advice in the security industry and the security profession for over 30 years. Ray is President and Principal Consultant of Ray Bernard Consulting Services, a group of highly expert corporate, physical and IT security consultants with outstanding track records in their fields of expertise. Ray has led many noteworthy security projects for international airports, nuclear disarmament facilities, sports stadiums, water districts, electric utilities, manufacturing plants and multiple tower high-rise facilities.

Ray is also the Founder and CEO of GSO Events, Inc., the producer of the Global Security Operations events, a regional event for 40 to 50 regional, national or global security practitioners. The event takes a three-to-five-year look ahead at where physical security leadership and advancing physical security technology are going.

Ray has recently authored the book, Security Technology Convergence Insights, published by Elsevier and available on Amazon and elsewhere. He is a contributing author to the Encyclopedia of Security Management, Second Edition, covering the topics “The Convergence of Physical Security and IT”, “Access Control Levels”, and “Authentication, Authorization and Cryptography.”

Ray has been an active member of ASIS for over 15 years and participates in its educational committees and activities.

Michael Gips

Principal, Global Insights in Professional Security

Michael Gips, JD, CPP, CSyP, CAE, is a security professional, attorney, writer, board member, researcher and business executive. He is the Chief Strategy Officer for Emergence Technology Group, which creates biometric solutions for personal safety. He is also the Principal of Global Insights in Professional Security, where he consults for a wide range of organisations. Previously, he served as both the Chief Security Officer and Chief Global Knowledge and Learning Officer for ASIS International.

Mike has received many commendations, including Outstanding U.S. Security Consultant (OSPAs, 2022), #1 most influential security thought leader in security (IFSEC, 2022) and top twenty most influential security leaders (International Security Journal, 2022). He has received more than fifteen awards for his writing.

On the volunteer side, Mike is president of the Life Safety Alliance and heads the security committee for a large house of worship. He was on the committees that updated ASIS’s CSO standard and developed ASIS’s ESRM guideline. He mentors many young professionals. Mike regularly contributes to International Security Journal, Security Journal Americas, and other publications. He frequently presents on security and legal topics at conferences and webinars.

A graduate of Tufts University (Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude) and Harvard Law School, Mike also has obtained security certificates from R.L. Oatman & Associates (2006), the Wharton School (2015), Tel Aviv University International (2016), IE Business School Madrid (2017), and Signpost Six (2021).

Mark Folmer

President, Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD)

Mark is a Business School Graduate, Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Fellow of The Security Institute (FSyI), industry volunteer, board of advisor member and security industry veteran with a background in security services, corporate security, management consulting, technology and software. 

After graduating in Human Resource Management and International Business from Concordia’s John Molson school of Business, he progressed to senior roles responsible for various security service business units across Canada. Back in 2009 he launched a consulting business focused on physical security for corporate clients. He served as Senior Manager, Corporate Security at Canada’s largest telecommunications company responsible for the executive security service group. Mark created and led the industry function for a Montreal based software company focused on workforce automation for the security services industry from which he had a successful exit as they were acquired. For 11 years, he taught in the Security and Police Studies program at University of Montreal. 

Mark is currently the President at security industry disruptor Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD), whose focus is to deliver artificial intelligence-based solutions that empower organisations to solve complex security and service challenges while delivering immediate return on investment.

He currently volunteers with ASIS International as Chair of the North American Regional Board of Directors. 

Simon Banks

Founder and Investor, CSL Group

Simon founded CSL Group in 1996 and continues to be heavily involved. He is also Chairman for the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) and Skills for Security, as well as a board member of the National Security Inspectorate (NSI). He also spent eight years on the board of BAFE.  

Simon founded Apprentices for Fire and Security (A4FS) in 2011 which has placed thousands of apprentice engineers within the security sector and he also represents the security manufacturers for the Government’s Trailblazer framework. 

Most recently, Simon founded The Banks Foundation (TBF), a not-for-profit to encourage entrepreneurs into the Electrotechnical verticals. In 2022, TBF acquired 49.9% shareholding in Skills for Security, the UK’s largest fire and security apprenticeship provider.

Irene Corpuz

Cyber Policy Expert, Board Member and Co-Founder, Women in Cyber Security Middle East (WiCSME)

Irene Corpuz has over 30 years of combined experience in IT Operations, Cyber Security, Cyber Policies, Governance, Risk and compliance, InfoSec standards implementation, audit and assessment.

Irene works with various UAE Government entities and is responsible for developing standards and policies related to cybersecurity in alignment with the respective UAE Emirates cybersecurity strategy. Having worked in various government and federal entities in the UAE, Irene has contributed to Cybersecurity strategic planning and mapping local standards against international standards, and benchmarking. 

Irene is a Co-founder of the Women in Cyber Security Middle East (WiCSME) and is highly engaged in activities supporting and mentoring women and girls in their professional growth. She has received several accolades locally, regionally, and internationally.

Dr. Magda Chelly

Managing Director, Chief Information Security Officer, Responsible Cyber Pte. Ltd.

Dr. Magda Lilia Chelly is a highly respected figure in the cybersecurity industry, known for her deep expertise, influential contributions, and dedication to promoting diversity and inclusion within the sector. Holding a Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering, Dr. Chelly has made significant strides in raising awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and encouraging women to pursue careers in this field through her initiative, Woman In Cyber.

As a global cybersecurity authority, Dr. Chelly has been recognized as one of the top 20 most influential cybersecurity personalities by ISFEC Global in both 2017 and 2021. Her contributions span authoring insightful books, making regular media appearances, and leading major cybersecurity events. Dr. Chelly’s work has not only been beneficial in the cybersecurity domain but has also made a significant impact through media appearances on platforms like Channel News Asia and MoneyFM 89.3, further establishing her as a leading authority in cybersecurity​.
